Welcome to our Mission for March HQ!

(Here's the plan.)

OUR MANTRAS FOR THE MONTH

Pick one, pick 'em all:

Done is better than perfect. (I didn't make that one up.)

Really good is good enough.

It doesn't need to be perfect; it just needs to be shared.

Truly. You don't need anything to be perfect here. You just need it OUT there.

You can always tweak + restyle as you go (and as you get feedback!).

The goal of this Write Your Site mission is to get a solid first draft up on your home, about, work with me, blog, and a sprinkling of "best of the rest" pages.

It's not going to be EASY, but this beeeautiful community will make it a whole lot EASIER by providing encouragement, feedback, and a seriously powerful group momentum.

Here's how to take advantage of that - the ACAC way :)

As you work your way through the lessons + have copy to share....

FIRST find at least THREE other homework posts to provide thoughtful feedback on. (The give, give, give, ASK energy will help us keep a healthy balance in here.)

THEN post yours, keeping in mind the ol' tips:

1. Be specific. (Avoid "What do you think??" - Tell us what exactly do you want feedback on.) 2. Provide context. (your purpose - what you want your dreamies to know, feel, and do)

NOTE: I'll post the call schedule as soon as I get back to Hawaii and figure out what will work for us. (They will be recorded + I think I will have folks submit homework ahead of time so I can map the time wisely for max benefit - i.e. a variety of pages and really great drafts or Qs that can benefit as many as possible.)

Here's a sample schedule for you to work through ACAC this month.

Choose the days that work for you + mark time in your calendar to make it REAL!

Week ONE

Go through the homeroom video + get comfy with the classroom. Watch Lesson 1 (31m) + complete the related workbook homework. Watch Lesson 2 (20m) + complete the related workbook homework.Week TWO Watch Lesson 3 (13m) + draft or refine your one sentence. Watch Lesson 4 (23m) + draft or refine your home page + opt-in copy. EXTRA CREDIT: Watch the in-lesson bonus videos for more examples.

Week THREE:

Watch Lesson 5 (22m) + draft or refine your about page. Watch Lesson 6 (29m) + get real about your blog plan + have FUN writing a post (or recording a vid). EXTRA CREDIT: Watch the in-lesson bonus videos for more examples.Week FOUR: Watch Lesson 7 (22m) + draft or refine your *most immediately needed* WWM page or sales page. Watch Lesson 8 (29m) + start drafting some of the supporting players. EXTRA CREDIT: Watch the in-lesson bonus videos for more examples.

Remember - I may be the teacher, but you're the BOSS!

Choose your own adventure here - go at your OWN (month-long) pace or follow along with this one. Whatever you do, please go in order (i.e. Start with L1, 2, and 3) :)

If you stay focused and commit to doing the best you can in the time we've got, we can plan to kick off the month of April with a seriously "good enough" publish party worth celebrating.

You with me?

A Bit o' Housekeeping

THE GROUP VIBE

It's hard to know how many folks will be able to join live, but each of these bonus calls is open to hundreds of ACAC students. I imagine I'll be able to work with about 5-10 live per call (more for the Q&A with Carrie!).

Depends on the specific nature of the Qs and how prepared you are :)

That said: As you'll hear from anyone who has attended live ACAC calls via upgrades or the founding class - listening in and watching the process is often JUST as helpful as watching me work on your own copy.

(Sometimes other folks will ask Qs you didn't even realize you had!)

Bottom Line: I'll always do the best I can with the time we've got and GREATLY appreciate your patience + understanding with that. (ACAC folks have always been lovely about this; just want to set the right expectation!)

HOW TO PREP

Do your homework + come up with SPECIFIC Qs that don’t need a lengthy debrief.

These bonus calls are a supplement to ACAC (not a substitute), so please do your homework and write a solid draft BEFORE each call.

When you do that, we can dig right in without taking time to revisit content I’ve already covered in thoughtful detail IN the course, maximizing the value + experience for all involved!

RECORDINGS

We WILL record each of the calls, although I'm not sure how/where I'll post + repurpose them just yet (i.e. private pages or in the bonus library for all ACAC).

Either way, please know that when you participate in these (or any) office hours-type calls, our work together *could* be used as examples in future ACAC bonus videos and/or trainings.

Any Qs about the calls? Send ‘em over to Stacey at support@nikkielledgebrown.com and we will get back to you ASAP :)

Can’t wait to connect with you LIVE this month!

Q&A with Carrie Green

NOTE: The video doesn't match our audio because I was being sneaky and using Zoom so you could see BOTH of us (vs. just me in the tiny corner of MeetingBurner). If it bothers you, close your eyes and enjoy Carrie's brilliance! :)

Bonus Office Hours

(Half of the) Class o' 2014 Call

DISCLAIMER: This call was reeeeally techniclumsy for the first 10 minutes, then halfway through I realized I hadn't even pressed record. In the interest of "really good" and getting this to you sooner rather than later, I'm not cropping the useless last minutes out. All that to say - there IS some good stuff in the middle ;)
